Route 23 proposed safety improvements in Weber City (Scott County)
City/county: Scott (county) Town: Weber City (town)
Overview
The project to improve safety on Route 23 near the Route 224 (Wadlow Gap Highway) intersection in Weber City is complete.
The project included the extension of the southbound left-turn lanes on Route 23 at the intersection by approximately 100 feet and modifying the median, which affected access to and from the adjacent convenience store.
The left-turn lane providing access to the convenience store from Route 23 southbound was shifted to better accommodate U-turns, allowing vehicles more space to turn.
Left turns exiting the convenience store are no longer permitted.
This section of Route 23 carries approximately 27,000 vehicles per day.
