Where our information comes from

Every article, deadline and alert on TNT links to the source it came from. This page explains the kinds of sources we use and how each is labeled.

Government and official agencies

County and city newsrooms, boards of supervisors, police and fire departments, school districts, DMV, tax administration, USCIS and IRS publications, the National Weather Service (alerts), state transportation agencies (511 / road work).

Labeled "Source: [Agency]". Adapted agency material says so.

Official calendars and forms

Library and parks calendars, school calendars, official form PDFs and instructions.

Deadlines carry the source URL and the date we last verified them.

TNT reporting

Articles written by TNT reporters and contributors under a named byline.

Labeled "By [Name] · Written by a person"; AI-assisted edits are disclosed.

TNT AI briefings

Daily and weekly briefings generated from the listed sources above.

Labeled "TNT AI Briefing · Generated from listed sources". Anchors in briefing videos are AI-generated and labeled as such.

Neighbors

Community posts, questions, replies and recommendations written by residents.

Labeled "Community submitted · Not independently verified by TNT".

Business listings

Public records, map data and owner submissions.

TNT does not rate, rank or endorse providers. Owner-claimed status is shown when a listing has been claimed.

Images

Each image is labeled by origin: TNT photo · Official image / Courtesy of … · Community submitted · AI-generated illustration · or a no-image information card. AI illustrations are never presented as photographs of a real event, place or person.

What we do not use

Third-party news articles are not republished; when other outlets are relevant we link to them as a source, not as our content.
Photos from search engines, social media or other publications are not copied without a confirmed license.
