School Engagement & Community Outreach The School Engagement and Community Outreach team promotes the division’s priorities in our school communities and throughout the City of Alexandria. Our goal is to increase public understanding and visibility of the division while strengthening community relationships and championing ACPS students, staff and programs. We respond to stakeholder inquiries about division-wide concerns and issues, rally community partners to help meet student needs, participate in community activities across the city and implement systems to help inform and facilitate authentic engagement with our diverse community. Our efforts include: Ask ACPS Have a division-wide question, concern, or comment you want to share with ACPS leadership? Connect with our team via email (ask@acps.k12.va.us) or the Ask ACPS webform to ensure your message is routed correctly and responded to in a timely manner! School Newsletters We are excited to communicate and share information with extended family members, volunteers, partners and other members of our community. We invite you to sign up to receive school newsletters and other general announcements. (Please note: parents and guardians automatically receive this information from the school at which their child is currently enrolled.) In the Community Our team’s calendar is filled with school-based events and a variety of community events. Find out when we’ll be in your neighborhood! ParentSquare When you need to communicate with your child’s teacher or counselor, use ParentSquare to direct message staff, excuse an absence, sign-up for parent-teacher conferences and more. Family Information Lines Family liaisons connect ACPS families in need of assistance to relevant staff and resources through our Information Lines.
