Villages - Life Long Homes Coalition Life Long Home is a housing focused coalition that connects people to social supports and other resources. It currently operates in the 20910 and 20912 zip codes as a pilot and the plan is to expand its scope in the future. The LLHC’s mission is to provide access to health and safety home repairs and social connections to income qualified seniors. Coalition Members:

Install accessibility features in homes: Modifications are specific to each homeowner’s needs. They may include grab bars, handrails, ramps, lever handles, walk -in showers, etc.

Health and safety improvements: Modifications are specific to each homeowner’s needs. Repairs may include; roof replacement, electric & plumbing improvements, flooring, etc.

Handy Man: Small house repairs are preformed either by village volunteers or Rebuilding Together staff. This includes minor plumbing and electrical issues as well as structural repairs.

Weatherization: Energy efficiency upgrades that may include appliance replacement, insulation, air sealing, HVAC and water heater replacements, etc.

Village membership: Silver Spring residents who are interested may receive a free year’s membership in SSV village

In Takoma Park - Fall season yard work: In partnership with community partners, rake yards, clean up, minor landscape repairs etc.
The coalition’s goal is to serve people who meet the following criteria:
- Income qualified home owners
- Older adult or a person with disabilities
- Live within an area of a Silver Spring Village and Village of Takoma Park. However, residents may qualify for some services and not others and no services are guaranteed. For more information, please visit the coalition members pages.
