Controversy arises as ICE officer points gun at naturalized woman in Falls Church.

On the 10th, an incident occurred in Bailey’s Crossroads, Falls Church, Virginia, where a federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent pointed a firearm at a U.S. citizen woman, and a widely circulated video of the event is causing a major stir.

The video, shared on Instagram by Carolina Molina, the individual involved in the incident, shows a masked ICE agent pointing a gun at her while she was in her vehicle, shouting, "Didn't you try to run me over?" Molina, a U.S. citizen from Virginia and a mother of two, immediately countered, "Don't lie. It's all recorded on the dashcam." The agents did not arrest her at the scene and let her go, but the possibility of criminal prosecution by law enforcement authorities has since been raised.

Molina, who works as a specialist providing psychological evaluation reports to immigration law firms, recounted the situation in an interview with local news outlet Fox5, saying, "Around 3 p.m. near Columbia Pike, I witnessed ICE agents trying to arrest two men, so I rolled down my window and protested." She explained that the situation escalated rapidly when she attempted to make a U-turn to avoid being followed by the agents.

Molina expressed her frustration, stating, "When I started recording with my cell phone, the agents shifted their tone, claiming I tried to hit them with my car, and threatened to arrest me." She added, "Even though I declared that I am a U.S. citizen, they responded that it didn't matter."

In response, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released a statement explaining, "During a targeted enforcement operation, an anti-ICE protester interfered with an arrest and attempted to harm agents with a vehicle." DHS added, "Agents who felt their safety was threatened conducted a justified vehicle stop, and the woman may face criminal charges."

Meanwhile, U.S. Representative Don Beyer, who represents the district, stated on X (formerly Twitter), "The dangerous and unjustifiable abuse of authority by the ICE agent captured in the video cannot be overlooked." He added, "I will strongly demand a thorough investigation and accountability for those involved from the Department of Homeland Security."
