FCPS Recognized by Government Finance Officers Association for Annual Financial Report Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) has received a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its comprehensive annual financial report from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the U.S. and Canada. FCPS was recognized for its financial reporting work for the fiscal year ending in June 2024. The award, the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, is conferred to organizations that demonstrate a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate their financial stories.
